Exciting Historical Artefact Found By The BEES Detectorists
Nathan Potts, director of educational social enterprise BEES UK, found what appears to be a military uniform hat badge in the shape of a bugle horn while using a metal detector as part of an exercise on the businesss farm in Plympton.

“The farm is on land once owned by William Strode, MP for Plympton, and one of the five members of parliament whose impeachment and attempted arrest by King Charles I in the House of Commons in 1642 sparked the Civil War,” explained Nathan. “Strode later fought for the Parliamentarians, and all of this provides an intriguing historical backdrop to the find.”
