Last year we saw more tortoises join us at the centre, more than we ever thought likely (or possible). We are at full capacity with some species and rapidly running out of space with the others. We have been desperate to expand and help more people.

Weighing just a couple of ounces and curled up in the palm of a hand like a spiny golf ball, the baby African Pygmy Hedgehog slowly opens its eyes. One of three born to Horace and Hattie, the stars of the Hedgehugs book series, the baby hedgehogs are now a couple of weeks old and settling in to their home at a community farm in Plympton.
